Le défi poker heads up vs RD. Partie #1: No Limit Omaha

Le jeu

Like Texas Hold Em, the game Omaha High uses a disc called the "dealer button" to indicate where the cards are to be dealt from. Small and big blinds are placed by the players immediately to the left of the dealer button before the cards are dealt out. Each player is dealt four cards face down, the action starts with the player to the left of the blinds making his decision on betting.

After the first round of betting, the players who remain will get to see the first community cards and a flop is dealt, three cards are dealt face up and placed in the center of the table. Each player remaining in this hand can use the community cards to improve his or her hand. In Omaha High you may only use TWO of you down cards and THREE of the community cards to make your best hand, many new players are guilty of trying to use three of their down cards and thus lose a lot of chips!

After the 4th and 5th community cards are dealt, known as the turn and river, the best 5 card poker hand from the nine you can use wins the pot.

That's really all there is to Omaha High. You'll soon become accustomed to only using two of your four down cards, although at first it may seem a little strange or overwhelming to have so many cards at your disposal.
